Frequently Asked Questions

How does the Schengen 90/180 rule work?
The Schengen rule is a rolling window, not a calendar reset. At any point in time, look back at the previous 180 days — you may not have spent more than 90 of those days inside the Schengen Zone. StayTracker calculates this precisely based on your actual trip history, updated every time you open the app.
How does the UK 180/365 rule work?
The UK applies a similar rolling window: you may not spend more than 180 days in the UK in any rolling 365-day period. StayTracker tracks this alongside your Schengen allowance on the same dashboard.
Does StayTracker store my data in the cloud?
No. All trip data is stored locally on your device. Nothing is transmitted to any server. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
How do I move my data to a new device?
Use the Export function inside the app to save a JSON backup file, then use Import on your new device to restore your trip history.
What happens if I delete the app?
Your trip data will be deleted along with the app. We recommend exporting a backup before uninstalling. We have no copy of your data and cannot recover it after deletion.
Does the app count the entry and exit day?
StayTracker follows standard Schengen counting conventions: both the entry day and exit day count as full days in the zone.
